Prof. Malinee Goswami launched the Survey of Scattered Manuscripts of Assam in 1996, a project aimed at documenting dispersed manuscript holdings across the state.

The work would eventually support the publication of A Catalogue of Manuscripts in Assam and help strengthen the documentary base for future manuscript research.
